Why did the Open Space and Recreation Committee Put a By-Law Article on This Year’s Warrant?

The decision to put a Community Preservation By-Law on this year’s Town Meeting Warrant was related to timing. This by-law only takes effect if Town Meeting approves the CPA article, and the voters pass a CPA referendum in April. It will enable the town to quickly form a CPC and take advantage of CPA as soon as possible.
